McLardy McShane FightMND Golf Challenge 2022

FIghtMND Golf Challenge 2022

McLardy McShane Insurance Brokers is pleased to announce that its FightMND golf challenge 2022 event at Portsea GC on 11 February has raised over $100,000 to support FightMND, the organisation headed by AFL Legend Neale Daniher working to find a cure for Motor Neurone Disease (MND).

McLardy McShane Group CEO Don McLardy said “Special thanks again to all our sponsors, and of course our special guests – Mike Sheahan, Caro Wilson, Max Gawn and Adam Tomlinson. Our auctioneer Michael Teague of Ray White was also amazing – it must be some sort of record getting $10,000 to buy nothing! I can’t thank you all enough for the easy, unwavering support you all give us.”

About the McLardy McShane FightMND golf challenge 2022

It all started with Don’s idea of getting a group of colleagues and friends together to network, have some fun and raise money for a great cause, all in the beautiful surrounds of the Mornington Peninsula.

The event kicks off with a Canadian Foursome-style golf tournament. With a capacity of 128 people, the event is invitation-only and has been sold out all three years.

There is also an additional challenge by the McLardy McShane founders – for those who accept the challenge, they must beat Don and Mike’s score (in which case the founders will donate an additional $250), or they must donate $250 themselves.

Don summarised the day by saying “This year the weather for the golf was outstanding, and everyone seemed to really enjoy the dinner. Thanks again and look forward to doing it all again in January 2023.”
